School Horse Programs

Our Rookie Rider and Learn to Ride (LTR) Programs introduce safe riding and horsemanship practices to students with limited to no riding experience, while our Royal Riders Program enables riders to develop their skills in the saddle, stable and classroom.

Riders enjoy cohesive equestrian and academic programming:

  • Students are matched with a QMS school horse of the appropriate level and temperament
  • Lessons ranging from Beginner to Equestrian Canada Rider Level Six (.85m)
  • Students ride once or twice per week, depending on the program
  • Half Lease Options available for dedicated riders

We also offer extra-curricular equestrian opportunities to QMS riders:

  • Clinics focus on skill development for riders of all levels
  • On-campus horse shows
  • Opportunities to compete at the local level
  • Co-curricular and service opportunities at the Equestrian Learning Centre
