Scholarships & Bursaries
We offer a variety of scholarship and bursary programs to help with tuition and educational expenses.
Scholarships
Entrance scholarships are awarded to students in recognition of their academic history, involvement in school activities and personal character. You can discuss your child’s eligibility for scholarships when you apply. Scholarships are applied toward tuition fees and may be renewed annually, subject to continued academic achievement and contribution to the school community. Queen Margaret’s School does not offer full scholarships.
QMS Heritage Scholarship
(Current & New Students)
The QMS Heritage Scholarship may be bestowed on a current or new student whose family member from a different generation attended QMS for more than one year. Deadline for application is May 31 of each year.

(Current Students Only)
The QMS House Scholarship is awarded to students who represent a commitment to House values: Service to Others (St. Hugh’s), Find Beauty in all Pursuits (St. Gabriel’s), and Facing Life with Courage (St. Michael’s). Deadline for application is May 31 of each year.

Queen Margaret’s School encourages students to explore equestrian sports. Entry-level riders may apply for this financial award. Rolling deadline.

Tuition Payment Plans
We provide affordable and convenient payment options to help families manage tuition costs. Our Tuition Payment Plan allows local Day families to pay annual expenses in ten interest-free instalments.
Bursaries
QMS has partnered with Apple Financial Services (AFS), a trusted financial aid assessment provider supporting independent schools across Canada, to process Financial Assistance (Bursary) applications for 2026–2027.
Our program helps bridge the gap between tuition and a family’s financial capacity. Bursaries are awarded based on demonstrated financial need, not academic performance. AFS conducts a confidential review and provides a recommendation, with final decisions made by QMS.
Eligible families may receive up to 40% of tuition.
Deadline: April 7, 2026
Application fee: $137.50 CAD (paid to AFS)
