Discover the freedom to grow, learn, and thrive at QMS.
Our boarding program offers students the opportunity to live on campus in a warm, supportive boarding community where lifelong friendships are formed, individuality is celebrated, and every day brings new opportunities to explore personal potential—both in and out of the classroom.
Living at QMS means being fully immersed in school life, supported by caring adults, surrounded by peers from around the world, and encouraged to grow in confidence, independence, and belonging.
Whether students are joining us from nearby communities or from farther afield, our boarding program is designed to meet a wide range of family needs while offering a consistent, nurturing experience.
Students in Grades 6 to 12 who wish to live on campus are welcomed into a caring residence environment just steps from classrooms, athletic facilities, and the equestrian centre.
QMS offers full-time boarding for all students, as well as a five-day boarding option for families living on Vancouver Island, the Gulf Islands, the Sea-to-Sky Corridor, and the Sunshine Coast—providing flexibility without compromising connection or support.
No matter which boarding option a family chooses, daily life at QMS is shaped by strong relationships, shared routines, and a deep sense of community.
Boarding life at QMS is rich, welcoming, and deeply relational. Students share their cultures, interests, and experiences, forming meaningful connections with peers, teachers, coaches, and staff. It’s a place where students feel known—and where lifelong friendships often begin.
Most dormitory rooms are shared by two or three students, fostering connection and community, while Grade 12 students enjoy individual rooms. Each residence hallway has its own identity and spirit, contributing to a sense of belonging within the larger boarding community.
Boarding and day students learn together in an environment that celebrates languages, traditions, and perspectives from around the world. Our scenic 30-acre campus offers space to explore, reflect, and recharge, supported by a dedicated Health Services team focused on student wellness.
For some families, the ideal balance lies in combining the structure and support of boarding life during the week with the familiarity of home on weekends.
A balanced approach to independence, structure, and family connection.
Five-day boarding at QMS is designed for students who are ready to grow in independence while being deeply known, supported, and challenged within a caring boarding community. It is well suited to families who value strong relationships, purposeful structure, and a healthy balance between learning and life.
During the week, students benefit from close connections with peers and adults, consistent academic guidance, and full participation in QMS’s co-curricular program—without the stress of a daily commute. The result is a focused, engaging weekday experience that supports both academic success and personal growth.
By Friday afternoon, students return home, remaining rooted in their families and local communities. This rhythm reinforces the partnership between home and school that lies at the heart of a QMS education.
