QMS Prep Program

The QMS Prep Program is a one-year program designed to prepare students in Grades 7 to 10 with full-time English Language instruction for entry into mainstream academic courses at Queen Margaret School the following year.

Prep Program students will have many opportunities to develop academic skills in reading, writing, speaking, listening, and subject-specific vocabulary while learning to adapt to Canadian culture and curricula before enrolling in the mainstream academic program.

No school credits are awarded during this skill-based learning year, but all students receive a certificate of completion. Students who achieve the required level of English may enrol at QMS the following academic year.

All QMS Prep Program students live together in our boarding residence, in a secure and supportive environment on a spacious and scenic 30-acre campus. This is where life-long friendships are born as students meet peers from around the world.

QMS students receive intensive instruction with small class sizes while being part of a fun, vibrant and close-knit community. Together, they will explore Vancouver Island and British Columbia through off-campus excursions that will further develop English language skills.
