Thanksgiving Food Chain

We are so grateful to our QMS parents, students, and staff for the incredible generosity shown during this year’s Food Chain Food Drive—a powerful example of compassion and community in action.

Together, we collected 2,290 pounds of food, the equivalent of over $8,000 in donations, all in support of local families through the Cowichan Valley Basket Society. Every can, box, and bag donated reflects the QMS spirit of caring for others and the understanding that even small acts of kindness can create meaningful change.

At QMS, service learning is an important part of education. Experiences like the Food Chain remind our students that leadership extends beyond the classroom—it begins with empathy, teamwork, and a commitment to helping others.

Thank you to everyone who contributed and helped make a difference. Your generosity nourishes not only families across the Cowichan Valley, but also the values that make our community strong.
