Last week, QMS drama students took the stage at the School Theatrical Arts Recognition (STAR) Festival, hosted at the University of Victoria—an enriching regional theatre event that brings together student performers from across the region.

Regional theatre festivals are immersive one- to two-day experiences where students perform for adjudication, watch peer productions, participate in workshops, and build community with fellow drama students from other school troupes.

At the UVic festival, the majority of our QMS students earned Proficient or Advanced marks, an outstanding achievement that has earned them invitations to attend the STRA National Festival West at UBC this May.

Adding to the celebration, three QMS students were recognized by the Canadian College of Performing Arts with $500 entry scholarships: Zeyphyr M. (’30), Charlotte W-M. (’28), and Saoirse Mc. (’28).

Congratulations to all of our performers for their dedication, creativity and excellence on stage.
