Spring Classic Show Shines

It was a fantastic weekend at the Shirley Burr Equestrian Centre for our annual QMS Spring Classic Horse Show on May 2-3.

Riders of all ages and abilities came together to showcase their hard work, determination and sportsmanship in a full weekend of competition.

Saturday’s warm-up rounds helped prepare both horse and rider teams for an exciting Sunday of competition, beginning with the 2’3”+ division and continuing through 2’0”, cross-poles and beginner trot poles.

One of the highlights of the weekend was welcoming our new Learn to Ride students into the ring for a special lead-line class during the lunch break. Watching these young equestrians compete in their very first horse show was a memorable moment for everyone in attendance.

Congratulations to all of our riders for their outstanding performances throughout the weekend, including division champions Neva C. (’30) & Pretty Please, Livvy R. (’32) & Go Show Blaze, Makenna B. (’33) & Will.I.Am, Kenzie M. (’30) & Romeo’s Girl and Kayleigh M. (’35) & Will.I.Am.

A heartfelt thank you to our coaches, staff, families and supporters who continue to make equestrian sport at QMS such a rewarding experience for our students. We are so proud of every rider and horse who took part in this wonderful event.
