QMS Launches Classics for Kids in Support of the Cowichan District Hospital Foundation

By Hayley Picard, Director of Communications & Marketing

Excitement is building at Queen Margaret’s School (QMS) with the launch of the Classics for Kids Program, a unique initiative that blends hands-on learning with community impact.

Led by Matt Sager, star of the History Channel’s Lost Car Rescue, Grade 11 and 12 students will restore a classic car from rusty ruin to shining showpiece. Each completed car will then tour community events and car shows across BC before being raffled, with proceeds supporting pediatric care through the Cowichan District Hospital Foundation (CDHF).

“This is more than a course; it’s an opportunity for our students to learn real-world skills, contribute to a meaningful cause, and connect with the community in a tangible way,” said Ander Monro, Head of School.

CDHF CEO Naomi Low added, “We are thrilled to partner with Queen Margaret’s School on this unique project. The Classics for Kids Program not only provides an incredible opportunity for students to engage in philanthropy, but also helps ensure that local children and families will benefit directly from enhanced pediatric care.”
