What happens when a community comes together behind a shared purpose? At QMS, we saw the answer this week.
Our commitment to supporting Tour de Rock and Camp Goodtimes began with a series of small but mighty fundraising efforts. From Civvies Day and Sundae sales to a Primary Book Sale, each initiative gave our students, families and staff an opportunity to contribute. The fundraising culminated in a 24-hour Cycle-A-Thon, where students, staff and parents took turns jumping into the seat and pedaling their way toward our collective goal.
Then, on Tuesday, the Tour de Rock team rode onto campus, and our community had the opportunity to celebrate what we had accomplished together: more than $10,000 raised for Cops for Cancer and Camp Goodtimes.
Student speakers Olivia W. (’27) and Madison W. (’27) reflected on the power of the initiative, sharing how incredible it is to see what can happen when one person’s dream inspires others to join in. What begins with one person can grow into something much bigger when a community comes together.
That is exactly what we witnessed at QMS. Every donation, book purchased, sundae enjoyed, minute cycled and dollar raised became part of something bigger than any one individual.
Thank you to our students, families, staff and everyone in the QMS community who contributed to this important initiative. Together, we are making a difference for children and families supported by Camp Goodtimes.
