Congratulations to our Junior Girls Basketball Team on capturing the CVIAA Junior B Championship—for the second year in a row!
Finishing second in league play, the team entered playoffs focused and determined. In their semifinal matchup against Quw’utsun, the girls played with composure and confidence, moving the ball with precision and attacking with dynamic offensive flow to secure a decisive 38–21 victory. Throughout the season, scoring contributions have come from across the roster, with Sara L.’s (’29) three-pointers always sparking excitement, but it has been the team’s relentless defense that has truly defined their success.
In the championship final against Gulf Island Secondary (GISS), the team delivered one of their most poised performances of the season. Demonstrating a deeper understanding of their offensive systems and improved shot selection, they controlled the pace of the game and earned a well-deserved 32–24 win to claim the title.
The growth this group has shown, in skill, confidence, and connection, has been remarkable. Their commitment to development in practice and their trust in one another on the court have paid off in the best way possible.
Congratulations, Junior Girls, on an incredible season and a championship repeat!
