Annual Jingle Bell Jog meets Run for the Claus

We are honoured to once again partner with the Clements Centre for Families & Sundrops Centre for Child Development in Cowichan to host the Annual Jingle Bell Jog meets Run for the Claus on Thursday, December 15 at 10:45am at QMS.
The Clements Centre is an important provider of services for children, youth and adults with developmental needs and their families. QMS is proud to work with this valuable not-for-profit group to create opportunities, build independence and bring hope to our friends and neighbours from Ladysmith through to the Malahat. This year, we want to step-up to help Clements more than ever. Due to the winter weather recently, they were forced to cancel their in-person Run for a Claus at the Cowichan Sportsplex on Sunday. This was a huge blow to their fundraising efforts and will directly impact the services they will be able to provide in 2023.
How can you help?
- You can celebrate the season by purchasing a fun t-shirt for $15 by this Friday, December 9
- Proceeds go to Clements Centre and our QMS logo will appear on the shirt!
- You can give a direct donation to Clements Centre and receive a tax deductible receipt
- Please ensure your child’s name is noted in the memo field as there are prizes for the top fundraising houses
- Cash gifts will also be accepted on-site during the event (tax receipts will be emailed after the event)
Students are encouraged to wear as much red and green to School on December 15 and parents, we invite you to join in us in this fun run. Santa, the Grinch and a cheering squad from Clements will be on-site to encourage participants and bring festive cheer to QMS. In fact, Clements will ensure all of our student’s names are entered into a draw to win a family pass to the Malahat Skywalk!
Please note that following the run, students will return to classrooms to complete their day of Christmas celebrations with our usual 3:00pm dismissal.
