Equine Facilitated Leadership Development
CONNECT with our world in a fresh way
At Queen Margaret’s School horses serve as co-teachers for students to hone character and leadership skills through our Equine Facilitated Leadership Development Program. Through both hands-on and reflective groundwork exercises with horses (not riding), students explore the direct correlation between how they show up and approach a situation, goal or relationship and the results that follow.
Students in Kindergarten-Grade 12 will spend time at the Equestrian Centre each year, engaged in nature-based and equine facilitated learning opportunities. As part of our core educational programming, the Equine Facilitated Leadership Development Program fosters competencies such as:
•Emotional intelligence
•Resilience
•Curiosity
•Innovative thinking
•Clear communication
•Presence
•Self-awareness
