Residence Community

STUDY and Live on a Safe Campus

We offer a safe, secure boarding experience for students from all over the world. Residence staff are on duty 24 hours, seven days a week. On-campus security during the evening provides our boarding parents with peace of mind.

Residence rooms are assigned by grade and age level. Personality, nationality and interests are all considered in the room assignment process with most rooms housing two students. Students in our Young Boarders Program (Grades 6 to 9) may be in a larger dorm room with three students living together. Our Grade 12's and boarders with leadership positions may have single rooms (subject to enrollment).

Boarders may walk to our small safe community of Duncan, with residence staff permission. School-organized evening and weekend activities create opportunities to explore new skills and take advantage of the entertainment, recreational and educational opportunities available on Vancouver Island.

Evening study prep time is integrated into our weekly residence schedule. The health and wellness of boarders is served by our on-campus Nurse, Counsellors, and a Travel Coordinator. Our welcoming residence community builds confidence, responsibility and independence.

It's years later and QMS still feels very much like home. I was fortunate enough to make some incredible friends both with the students and faculty, and I still maintain many of them today.
