Meet Our Admissions Team

James Blake
Director of Admissions

Mr. James Blake comes to QMS from a diverse post-secondary and independent school background in admissions, recruitment, and athletics. Highlighted schools that he has worked for over the past two decades are Simon Fraser University, UC Irvine, California State University, Northridge, Shawnigan Lake School, and St. Michael’s University School. James has a passion for coaching and is excited to become part of the QMS basketball program.

Harriet Klumper
Assistant Director of Admissions

A life-long independent school enthusiast, Ms. Harriet Klumper has both attended and worked at a number of schools on the Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island. Building on this passion for independent schools that began with her own education, Harriet has since worked at Crofton House, Collingwood, and Shawnigan Lake Schools and is thrilled to join the Queen Margaret’s School team to continue to welcome and inspire future generations QMS families.

Amanda Lutner
Admissions Coordinator

Ms. Amanda Lutner’s experience in the service industry allows her to anticipate the needs of our applying families and international recruiting partners. Amanda brings a cheerful approach to the busy tempo of our Admissions Office. Being the mother of twins has prepared her to respond quickly to the many questions that come her way.

Jess Dobson
Admissions & Events Coordinator

Ms. Jess Dobson is a dedicated educator with a diverse background, having served in boarding, athletics, and early childhood roles in both independent and public school settings in Ontario and Quebec. With a passion for fostering a nurturing environment, she brings a wealth of experience to our community. She is committed to immersing herself in all aspects of school life and looks forward to welcoming new families to QMS and meeting current/past students and families!
